The Elephant in the Room (Oct 2022)
It's been a week
Without any sleep. There is no change. I'm tired. |
At least I tried.
And then I cried. |
Tears as big as elephant ears
Confusion Dissolved in a moment. And looking up I see time gone. The clock swings Uneasily Living in the past Tripping fast. |
Scared to show the elephant,
Scared what they will think. Aways in the background Smudges of pen and ink. |
Not afraid to highlight the dark,
Now not afraid to make a mark. Colour saturation A lot of concentration Too much temptation. |
In the calm
My heart beats. In the heat, The elephant Is still in the room. The Elephant in The Room Poem by Mary-Ann Stevens 2022 |
